New Music Festival: Chen Yi

The FHSU New Music Ensemble is comprised of FHSU Music and Theatre faculty who share a passion for the music of living composers. Each year, the ensemble commissions a composer to write a new work for the ensemble, which is premiered at the evening concert. We are excited that Chen Yi will serve as the composer in residence for the 2025 FHSU New Music Festival. The evening concert on Saturday will feature works by Chen Yi and include performances by the FHSU Wind Ensemble and the Hays High Chamber Singers. The festival will open the musical ears of the Hays community and provide the audience with a unique musical experience!
